Segue abaixo o FAQ ( Principais duvidas ) sobre a empresa IMAGE
Are there any specific language requirements to be able to work on board?
Every shipboard employee must clearly speak, read and write English. Also, because of our international guests and exciting itineraries, it is helpful if you speak additional languages, including (but not limited to): Italian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.
Is there a minumum age requirement I must meet? Yes, all applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
As a new hire, what cost will I be resposible for? Once you have been offered a position with Image, you will be responsible for the cost of your Medical Clearance Exam, uniform package and the cost of your camera, unless you have your own camera which meets our professional standards. Specific details related to these costs will be available during the On-boarding Session and will be outlined within your Employment Agreement.
What travel documents will I need to acquire before I join a ship? As an employee of Image you are required to carry a valid passport from your home country, you must obtain a C1D Visa and other relevant visas (depending on the country you will need to enter to join your ship).
What is the recruitment process? Our recruitment team will review each application and resume submitted, if you meet our qualifications you will be contacted for a preliminary interview. If you are selected to move on to the next level of the interview process you will be asked to complete an assessment test that will measure certain abilities and aptitudes. If you pass the testing phase you will move forward in the recruitment process.
Approximately how long will I be on board for an assignment? A shipboard career is for those adventurers who are interested in exploring new places and meeting new people, for individuals who understand that they will be away from their homes for long periods of time. Assignments are for six to eight months working on board, with six to eight weeks of vacation time.
Working and living in close proximity with your colleagues will take some adjusting, especially in the first six to eight weeks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop strong friendships with fun and interesting people from all over the world.
How is the work envirenment on board? It's an energetic, guest-focused environment. With an average of more than 2,500 guests on board your particular ship, it`s an opportunity to contribute to the success of a world-class operation while enriching your own experience. Though it can be very rewarding, it can also be challenging and it will probably take some time to acclimate to the pace of it all. Because it's a 24-hour operation, you can expect to work long hours seven days a week. Time off is limited, even while the ship is in port. Additionally, in order to ensure that everyone is familiar with safety procedures (in the case of an emergency), you will be expected to participate in relevant shipboard training sessions and drills.
What are the living condition like aboard a cruise ship at sea? Most find the experience similar to their first year in a college dorm. Accommodations are sometimes cramped, especially on smaller vessels, and you will be sharing your cabin with little to no privacy. Usually staff have their own dining room away from the passengers. Some ships provide extra amenities for employees, such as televisions for each room and a crew bar.
Are there opportunities for promotion / carrer advancement? We strongly believe in career development. Promotions are based on your ability and your performance, which is tracked and shared with you every step of the way.
